Sjors van der Panne is an established name in the Dutch music world. In the 11 years since his participation in The Voice of Holland, he has increasingly played and sold out the larger concert halls and theatres.
In addition, the Nederpop chansonnier is also a frequent guest at company parties, festivals and galas and he has performed as a guest vocalist with a variety of larger orchestras.
Sjors scored a big radio hit in 2021 with the song written by him and Janos Koolen 'Then We Make The Land' . During his shows, Sjors mainly sings his own repertoire but he also features Dutch-language classics by Ramses Shaffy, Liesbeth List, Wim Sonneveld, Conny Vandenbos, Claudia de Breij, Boudewijn de Groot, Frank Boeijen and Stef Bos.
Last year, Sjors and colleague Tommie Christiaan toured the Netherlands with the theater show Men Cry Not In conjunction with this show, they released an EP which became popular on streaming services.
Sjors was the Pride ambassador during the summer of 2023 and appeared at the Pride Chanting on the closing evening of Pride Week in Amsterdam. He also recently performed in a series of concerts with Cor Bakker, Gerard Alderliefste, Renée van Wegberg and Beatrice van der Poel doing the repertoire of Ramses Shaffy .
A highlight in 2023 was his performances at the prestigious Concertgebouw (Amsterdam) . This event marked the 16th time he has appeared at such venue.
Sjors recorded his new album "Er is Nog Zoveel" in the summer of 2023.
The songs are from his own hand and inspired by French pop music. A big fan of French music, Sjors has a fine ear for creating songs with Dutch lyrics but with the sensibilities of French pop music." It turned to be a beautiful album,” says Sjors.
Sjors performs frequently with his regular musicians Hubert-Jan Horrocks and Janos Koolen and has been seen on several popular TV shows, including Tijd voor Max, HLF8 and Koffietijd. He can also be seen in the Dutch TV series De Slimste Mens.
Another career highlight was his recording of a Huub Oosterhuis song with Edsilia Robley, entitled " Hier Is Een".
In late 2023 and early 2024, Sjors embarked on an extensive tour of the Netherlands with a repertoire of songs primarily from his new album - "Er is Nog Zoveel".
